Opportunity description
Chateau Lechovice at the top of the village of the same name with a long history, near the main road from Brno to Znojmo. Since 1958 the castle has been protected as a cultural monument. Area of the chateau: 41 279 m².
Originally a baroque summer residence from the mid 18th century, at the beginning of the 19th century it was rebuilt into a three-winged castle in classicist style with an interesting portal. In 1660, the owner of the estate became the Louka monastery. After the abolition of the monastery in 1874, the owner of the estate became a religious fund. From him, Lechovice buys Viennese burgher Josef Lang, who in 1824 also buys the summer residence of the monks, which he has rebuilt to the castle. In 1958, the chateau was established as a home for nuns and later the chateau served as a school.
The chateau is surrounded by a large natural park with a number of objects of garden and complementary architecture, as well as utility buildings (the main gate of the park, horticulture with greenhouses, apiary, southeast fountain and garden parter, balustrades stairs, northwest fountain and swimming pool, colonnade with pergolas, nuns pavilion, etc.).
